Grand Départ innovates with iXpole VIP tickets
On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 July, close to 3,000 VIPs enjoyed two great and very sunny days at two Grand Départ VIP hospitality area’s. They witnessed the Grand Départ (1st stage) on Saturday or the Team Time Trial on Sunday.
The driving force behind the prestigious VIP events on each of these days was Panama Events in cooperation with Verhulst Events. On Saturday VIPs had the choice. they could either witness the start of the 1st stage in the centre of Brussels or assist the arrival near the Atomium. For the second option, they had the choice between 3 VIP Packages. For the Team Time Trial on Sunday, everything was centralised at the Atomium where the teams entered their final 300m before the finish in front of the VIP tents. For that day, 4 different packages were available.
Both on Saturday and on Sunday about 1,500 VIP’s were to enter the sites over a timespan of about 1.5h. Throughput was crucial. For that reason Panama Events decided to rely on a digital solution. They selected the iXpole cloud solution for their VIP and sponsorship management. For this event, Panama Events relied on iXpole for the sale, the distribution and management of the VIP ticketing. On-site the VIP hospitality desks also used the iXpole access control scanning app.
The event was a great success. A sunny day, good food, nice drinks and a unique experience. We are very proud that iXpole was able to contribute to this great experience. our contextual tickets provided the VIPs clear information about where to park, where to head to for the event and which program to expect. The scanners provided a very high throughput. At no time the scanners were a bootleneck to enter the VIP village.
