Fortuna Sittard and iXpole join forces
With the iXpole platform being used or rolled out by almost half of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League clubs, the company is targeting The Netherlands. Fortuna Sittard, wants to start its season in Eredivisie with a big bang on all levels. Its VIP customers and sponsors will be the first to be able to use iXpole’s Self-service VIP portal in the Dutch Eredivisie competition.
Fortuna Sittard, based in the South East of The Netherlands, does not hide its ambitions. Since the arrival of the new management team, the club is undergoing one modernisation after another in their pursuit of professionalisation at all levels. This has already borne fruit over the past season, as they succeeded in securing a promotion to Eredivisie, the Dutch first league.
The relationship with the business partners is a crucial part of Fortuna Sittard’s professionalisation strategy. That’s why Fortuna Sittard has decided to use iXpole from the start of the coming season.
iXpole, a total solution for the full relational (CRM) and operational (ERP) management of sponsorship and VIP hospitality, was developed and refined in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League. In the last 4 seasons, iXpole has taken about half of the Belgian football clubs to a higher level in terms of professionalization.
The business partners of professional football clubs are companies that are used to a certain standard of automation and efficiency. iXpole wants to give the clubs the appropriate software tools to meet and even exceed these expectations. In the Netherlands, the general management of clubs is already largely automated with Afas, but the very specific B2B processes are still often handled with spreadsheets and lists. By integrating with Afas, iXpole aims to offer clubs end-to-end automation.
“Of course, every team wants to achieve the best sporting performance, but our business partners are at least as crucial a part of our growth strategy,” says Isitan Gun, president of Fortuna Sittard. “With iXpole, we intend to take a head start in terms of total experience for our partners. It’s time to move our customers into the digital age with self-service solutions and e-tickets.
Gorik Vandersanden of iXpole adds: “iXpole is at least as ambitious as Fortuna Sittard, but at iXpole these ambitions are reflected in the pursuit of our international expansion. And that is where both parties have found each other. The European market is wide open, but the challenge in every country is to find a club that wants to take the first step. In Fortuna Sittard we have found an equally ambitious partner”.
